Ministries and Events Each year we coordinate and/or participate in major events both on our campus and around the city. Equipping the Saints is an all day workshop held somewhere in or around Victoria, the first Saturday in February, in order to help participants grow in all areas of their life and faith. Maifest is our major fundraiser as a congregation, held on the first Saturday of May. We invite folks from all over to join in the fun with activities for children, great German food, and a live auction. All proceeds go toward supporting our benevolences. Vacation Bible School is a weeklong hands-on learning experience for young people from all over the community. Check our calendar or call the office to find out more details and which week we will be providing VBS this summer. We also participate in such events as Relay for Life in the spring, an annual picnic celebration of our congregation’s birthday in October, and even create a float for the Victoria Christmas Parade in December. On a more regular basis we have Joy Circle, a women’s group that meets on the third Monday of every month (9am), and a Guys and Gals BUNCO Potluck Night, which gathers on the fourth Tuesday of every month (6pm). In and around the community we offer such ministries as Green Care for Troops, serve as a host congregation for the Family Promise network, and many of our members serve as volunteers for several local benevolences.
